Junk Dump Magazine was founded in October 2020 by Mia Schoolman, Grace Brouillet, and Dlisah Lapidus.
During the pandemic, we recognized that many young artists and art-lovers were missing an outlet, so we decided to provide a creative space through print media. We created a forum where young creatives can share their work and receive a tangible sense of appreciation for their creativity. Since then, we have grown our community to reach young artists and audience all over the world. Thank you for joining us on our journey and we can't wait for you to see what we have in store!
In May 2021 we curated and hosted our first exhibition at Gallery North in Setauket, New York. This event featured art from many of our young collaborators.
In July 2021 we curated and hosted Junk Dump Film Festival at Frank Melville Memorial Park in Setauket, New York. This event featured film and animation submissions from our collaborators.
We look forward to seeing you at our future events!
